Tim Rose - Original watercolours, oils and acrylics

Tim Rose is an artist who works in watercolour, oils and acrylics. His subjects range from architectural studies of cathedrals to paintings of country house gardens. Lighting and illumination are of the essence in his pictures and he works outside (or from on-the-spot sketches) throughout the year; feeling that one can only know one's subject from having observed it through subtle changes of light and atmoshphere.

Good draughsmanship is very important in his paintings and his drawings and sketches are sought after as much as his pictures.

Tim exhibits widely throughout the country, most notably at the Bankside Gallery (home of the Royal Watercolour Society). He is commissioned by corporate, commercial and private clients nationwide - and these vary from oil paintings of power stations to portraits of corporate headquarters. Much of his work is reproduced as cards and prints.
