Having been into art all my life and having worked
in most conventional mediums, my imagination was fired by the
possibilities for digital
modern art when I got my first Apple Mac computer back in
1991.
I bought my first picture when I was 12 years old, a small print of Dali's Christ of St John of the Cross - paid for by my paper round.
Over the years my taste in art grew and matured encompassing modern art of many genres, including Surrealism, Dadaism, the Abstract Minimalists, the Vortists and most recently conceptual art.
I also have a deep love of sculpture, especially Hepworth and Moore and my way of working is similar to that of a lot of sculptors - I start with a huge piece of "raw material" and chip away at the image, exploding and fragmenting until the final image reveals itself.
Unfortunately, the limitations of diplaying images on the web does not allow one to see the detail, as many of them are very big pictures.
